LEARN MORE ABOUT WHO WE ARE BELOW

Tufflex Plastic Products (Pty) Ltd has been in existence since 1994 and is one of the more established, reputable and well-known plastic recycling facilities in Gauteng. The Company specialises in the recycling of both post-consumer and post-industrial polyolefin waste and operates one of the most sophisticated plastic wash-plants on the African continent. The Company has also developed a unique drying and processing line to convert hard to recycle waste polyolefin powders back into usable pellets.

Tufflex also produces an extensive range of recycled plastic timber which is used in a multitude of different industrial, agricultural and domestic applications. These products are made from a variety of waste polymers, including impossible to recycle toothpaste tubes, various mixed plastics and multilayer substrates, making the Company one of only a few in South Africa that uses unrecyclable materials that would otherwise have to be landfilled. Furthermore, all polyolefin waste and scrap generated through the conventional recycling processes is not dumped but instead added back into timber – consequently Tufflex proudly generates almost zero waste to landfill.

Tufflex also prides itself in tackling difficult to recycle applications and the staff & management consistently pursue and embrace the Company’s creed of “Innovative Plastic Recycling”. The Company is privately owned and is headed up by Charles Muller. Deon Swart (technical), Michael Carlsson (commercial) and Peter Sifo (production) make up the balance of the management team who collectively have well in excess of 100 years of plastics and packaging experience.
